Clean thoroughly. If time allows place clams in mix of ¼ - ½ cup salt to a gallon of cold water over night. Discard any clams with broken shells or that will not close tightly.
Bring steamer to boil
Place clams in steamer for 5 – 10 minutes (Till they open) they will get tough if overcooked.
